The Wedding Breakfast
Your guests will be greeted in the comfortable lounges
overlooking the lake with a welcome drink served on silver
trays by our cocktail waiters.
Weather permitting your party can enjoy their drinks in the
lovely gardens with direct access from the lounge bar, whilst
you are having your photos taken. Later on proceed to the
Garden Suite, which will be beautifully prepared for your
wedding with crisp white linen and silver candelabras.
The large selections of imaginative menus ranging from traditional
3 course menus to more elaborate themed menus or dressed buffets
can be difficult to decide upon, but with the help of both
the manager and also, if you wish, the head chef, whom you
are welcome to stay in direct contact with on headchef@lodorefalls.co.uk,
you can be assured that the food will be exceptional.
Capturing the moment
Such a special day must be remembered forever and the photography
is an important part of the wedding day. At the Lodore Falls
Hotel you are assured of some memorable wedding photographs,
you may even find it difficult to decide which of the many
photo opportunities will best suit you.
Step outside and have your pictures taken in the beautiful
landscaped gardens, or walk onto the hotel's charming packhorse
bridge with the spectacular lake and mountain scenery in the
background. Take a stroll up to the Falls and you have a unique
backdrop with the cascading water over the crags, or walk
down to the lake and the jetty and another stunning photo
opportunity presents itself.
The Evening Function
If you would like to extend your wedding day into
the evening and
add entertainment in the form of a disco, a live band or even
a ceilidh,
the Lodore Falls Hotel is ideal and can accommodate up to
130 people. A buffet for a minimum number of guests must be
taken.
The Civil Ceremony
To gather family and close friends together for a
civil wedding ceremony is a less formal way yet a unique
experience for everybody involved in celebrating the marriage
promise between two people.
At The Lodore Falls Hotel we have the experience in carrying
out these wonderful ceremonies in line with the regulations
and licensing
requirements and are happy to describe in detail to the wedding
couple the running of a civil wedding.
You can choose between two approved suites offering flexibility
when it comes to numbers from smaller more intimate
gatherings to much larger celebrations.
An 'Out of Season' Wedding
All seasons are special in the Lake District in the
Autumn when the colours change to golden orange, in the Winter
when the mountain tops are covered in snow, in the Spring
when the daffodils and bluebells cover the ground or in the
Summer when long evenings can be enjoyed al fresco. However,
as many of our weddings are on a Saturday during the Summer,
we can now offer you a special rate if you can arrange your
wedding midweek (Sunday to Thursday) or out
of season, ie. November to March (incl).
Or why not come during December when the hotel is elaborately
decorated with festive Christmas decorations and the hotel
has the most warming and welcoming atmosphere.
