This hotel has one of the most spectacular settings in the
Lake District in 15 acres of landscaped grounds with sweeping
lawns to the lakeshore and one of the largest outside lakeside
terraces in the county - ideal for the welcome drinks reception
and photography.

Flexibility
and working together to choose your menu and wines
You can choose from an extensive selection of a la
carte and set menus. If you wish to pick and choose and change
around the menus, we will be happy to assist, and when it
comes to selecting wine and drinks to compliment your menu,
we have the expertise to advise you.
If you have something else in mind, our head chef will be
happy to meet you.
Evening
Functions
If you wish to extend your wedding day into the evening we
can recommend three venues;
Ramblers Lodge, our public bar, is available for hire for
up to 80 guests. With its lakeland stone walls, wooden floor
and beams, this is a perfect venue for a disco, live music
or a ceilidh band. A marquee catering for up to 140 guests
can be added at an extra cost. There is a charge for exclusive
hire of Ramblers Lodge (not including the Marquee), and a
buffet for a minimum number of guests must be taken.
At our sister hotel, The George in Penrith, you can book your
evening function in the fabulous newly refurbished Georgian
Ball Room. This room with its panelled ceiling, crystal chandeliers
and minstrels
gallery and the beautiful adjoining Regency Bar is an ideal
location for the evening reception. A buffet for a minimum
number of guests must be taken.
Alternatively, if the weather permits, what can be more fitting
than a romantic evening cruise on Ullswater. Walk from the
hotel to the
Ullswater Steamer's Pier, only 5 minutes away, and board your
own
private launch for a couple of hours of spectacular cruising
combined
with a finger buffet.

Civil
Wedding Ceremonies
The Inn on the Lake has two approved suites for the civil
wedding ceremony, offering flexibility when it comes to numbers
- from smaller more intimate gatherings to much larger celebrations.
Both rooms
have glorious lake and mountain views and can accommodate
up to 100 guests for the civil ceremony.
Midweek
Weddings and out-of season Lakeland Weddings
Any time of the year is special in the Lake District - in
Autumn when the scenery changes into blazing golden colours
or in the Winter when the mountain peaks are snow capped and
the local fayre consists of warming drinks and comfort food.
